The Gig at the End of the Universe

In the year 2344, the survivors of mankind wait out the end of their days aboard the USS Seneca. The spacecraft is also being pursued by a nuclear warhead, a relic from the war that wiped out Earth. Luckily though the warhead is unable to target the survivors, so long they don’t make a sound.

The Gig at the End of the Universe is being created in a challenge to see whether a comedy could be cut entirely from found footage archive, namely the rich visuals from the 1960s NASA 16mm reels now in the public domain. This is in keeping with the Feedback Loop Film Manifesto.

The film is currently at the rough cut stage where I am currently recording SFX and character voices.

The film is a love letter to the Douglas Adams Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series of books.
